THERE'S BEEN A MURDER - original lino print

This print was inspired by my old cat Chips who despite being an indoors cat could still catch the odd mouse right up until the ripe old age of 17.  Of course it’s instinct, nature and all that but I still found it rather disturbing, and I now realise that creating this print was, for me, a way of trying to make light of it and making it easier to deal with.  

The text was the catch phrase from the Scottish Detective TV show Taggart -set in Glasgow, where I live. I have sent this print to customers in Europe, America and Australia and always wonder if they get the reference. Regardless, I feel it is something that many cat owner can relate to.
